On May 30, 2024, lecturers of the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, and participants in The Bridge project Oleksiy Levchenko and Olena Dupliak took part in the 5th INTERNATIONAL BIM-FORUM DIGITAL GOVERNANCE & EDUCATION. They spoke at the 1st BIM-EDUCATION SUMMIT, Kyiv.
Lecturers of departments with specialties 022, 191, 192, 194 and active students of 1st to 6th courses were invited to the forum.
At the forum were discussed issues of development of digital reforms in Ukraine. Milena FEUSTEL (Architect, Germany), and Pieter STAELENS (Policy Officer of the European Commission) joined the forum and shared the experience of effective public BIM management in Europe. Ukrainian stakeholders Yulian CHAPLINSKY (member of the Board of The WALL Ukraine, CEO AVR development), Hanna ISKIERDO (co-founder, creative director of AIMM-groups), Anna VASYLENKO (member of the Board of The WALL Ukraine, director of VEC UA), Vitaly HRUSEVYCH (Chairman Board of Directors of "The WALL Ukraine"), Oleksandr KANIVETS (member of Board of Directors of "The WALL Ukraine", funder of ASKansalting) and Yurii Smirnov (member of Board of Directors of "The WALL Ukraine", director of Allbau-software GmbH Ukraine) shared their own experience in using BIM technologies, AI and outlined the prospects for the further development of BIM in Ukraine and emphasized the need for further development of the legislative framework for the introduction of BIM technologies. All stakeholders noted the significant need for trained personnel and the need to study BIM technologies at universities.
Eriks VITOLS, represented Baltic BIM Management and shared his experience of learning BIM technologies in Lithuania.
As part of the forum, Associate Professor of the Department of Informational Technologies Oleksiy LEVCHENKO and Professor of the Department of Water Supply and Drainage Olena DUPLYAK presented the new Educational Program at KNUCA for Masters, developed within the framework of The BRIDGE grant agreement "Bridging the gap between the university and industry: an innovative Master's curriculum that supports the development of green workplaces and digital skills in the Ukrainian construction sector".
Project partner Viktor MALAHOV, associate professor of ODABA, made a report on the topic "Portrait and motivation of a modern student - valid and important."
During the open discussion, stakeholders and students expressed their wishes for the future educational program.
