On October 28, 2025, the Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Building Information Modeling was officially opened at the Department of Heat Engineering of the KNUBA. The laboratory is located in classroom 327 of the third academic building at 5 Osvita St.

The new space will become a platform for masters of the educational and scientific program Building and Architectural Information Modeling, BIM Process Management and students of other specialties, where they will be able to master modern software for BIM, learn how to create 3D models of buildings and structures, perform engineering calculations and work on team projects.

The laboratory was opened by the rector of the KNUBA, Oleksiy DNIPROV. The event was attended by the coordinator of the ERASMUS+ project in Ukraine, Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, who wished the students success and the teachers inspiration.

The equipment was purchased with funds from the European Union thanks to the participation of FISE in the international project The BRIDGE “Bridging the gap between university and industry: an innovative master’s degree program supporting the development of green jobs and digital skills in the Ukrainian construction sector.”
