Exchanging experience in BIM (Building Information Modeling) within the framework of the The Bridge project was the main goal of the consortium partners’ meeting, which took place at the Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the Rhine-Westphalian Technical University (RWTA) in Germany at the end of November. The KNUBA delegation also got acquainted with modern principles of teaching in the educational program and with quality control of project management and its implementation.

KNUBA is one of five higher education institutions in Ukraine participating in the The Bridge project. Our university was represented at the meeting with partners in Germany by: Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Systems and Ecology Oleksandr PRYYMAK, Professor of the Department of Water Supply and Sewerage Oleksandr KRAVCHUK, Associate Professor of the Department of Water Supply and Sewerage Mykhailo KYRYCHENKO, Head of the Department of Heat Engineering Roman DEMYANENKO, Head of the Department of Engineering Geodesy Herman ZATYLIUK.

As part of the training program, the participants visited the laboratory of the Institute of Applied Mechanics, got acquainted with the master's programs of the Rhine-Westphalian Technical University and the Institute of Civil Engineering, in particular the master's course "Sustainable Civil Construction"; took part in a seminar and discussion on the topic: "Management, Digital Engineering and Robotics in Construction", visited the laboratory of machine tool building and production technology and the virtual reality laboratory; listened to lectures on "Mechanics of Porous Media" and "Mixed Learning Methods".

As a result of the training, the university's opportunities for participation in the creation of the online educational platform "The Bridge" and its use for sharing experience in teaching subjects in building information modeling have expanded. In the future, plans are to provide KNUBA students with the opportunity to receive additional competencies within the framework of microcredits.
