From March 2 to 12, the second series of online masterclasses dedicated to building information modeling (BIM) and modern approaches to engineering modeling took place. The event was organized by representatives of the ODABA. Ukrainian teachers, students and everyone interested in BIM technologies and modern modeling methods in construction had the opportunity to undergo training on the topics: “Mechanics of porous media” and “Selected issues of the theory of inelasticity”, which was conducted by representatives of the Rhine-Westphalian Technical University of Aachen (RWTH Aachen University) within the framework of the international project The BRIDGE, co-financed by the EU. We are sincerely grateful to Professor, Doctor of Engineering, Director of the Institute of General Mechanics Bernd Markert and his colleagues for interesting, eventful days of training.
The master classes were joined by Viktor Nosenko, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Geotechnics, Faculty of Civil Engineering, KNUBA, and postgraduate student Dmytro Nechyporenko. They explained the theoretical principles of numerical modeling of off-design impacts in the form of impacts and explosions on the soil environment and buried structures and clearly demonstrated the modeling process and calculation results. All participants who completed the training received international internship certificates and useful experience.
