Inspection, diagnostics and implementation of BIM technologies in construction

The cursebook examines the primary causes of failures in buildings and structures, preventive measures, defects and damages in construction elements, and the underlying reasons for their occurrence. It outlines methods for inspecting buildings and structures, along with the relevant technical equipment, and explores digital tools for managing the building lifecycle through the application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies. The cursebook explains the differences between traditional methods of data collection and processing and the use of BIM technologies. It also discusses approaches to integrating inspection data into modern BIM systems and presents the 6D planning technology for the maintenance and operation of buildings and structures.  This cursebook is intended for higher education students and engineering and technical professionals in the fields of manufacturing and construction engineering.

Modert Approaches to Design, Analysis and Assessment of Building System Using BIM-Technologies: Practical manual

The case studies present materials from scientific and practical studies carried out within the framework of the international project of the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme ‘The BRIDGE – Bridging Innovations, Knowledge and Skills for Integrating Digitalization in the Ukrainian Construction Sector’. It focuses on the use of BIM technologies, as well as on innovative solutions aimed at ensuring energy efficiency, analysis accuracy, and interoperability of software environments. The materials cover the issues of thermal efficiency in eco-oriented modular buildings, modelling of historical structures based on point cloud data, the application of BIM in structural design, the analysis of steel and reinforced concrete structures, the analysis of soil-foundation interaction, and the development of indoor microclimate models for public buildings.
The publication is intended for academic and research staff, postgraduate students, university students, as well as experts in the fields of construction, architecture, energy, and digital modelling who are interested in the practical application of BIM technologies in education and professional practice.
