On April 2 and 13, representatives of the American-Ukrainian company New Vision Agency, Inc., specializing in the field of BIM/VDC - design and cooperating with leading US construction contractors, gave 2 online lectures on the topics: "Coordination of design solutions as a tool for minimizing operational risks in the BIM and VDC ecosystem" and "BIM and VDC - a modern paradigm of construction: economic efficiency of projects and experience in the US market" for students of the ONP "Construction and architectural modeling, BIM project management" and the OPP "Building information modeling technologies in industrial and civil construction". All interested students, graduate students and teachers of the KNUBA had the opportunity to join the lectures. The attendees received a lot of useful information about the features of working in a cloud environment, the importance of interdisciplinary coordination of work in BIM projects, its practical aspects, the advantages provided by digital models. They saw the results of 5D modeling of construction objects on examples of real projects for comparison with traditional design methods. They learned about the features of design work on the American market. Communication with practicing professionals gave students the opportunity to expand their ideas about their future profession and prospects in the labor market.
