On December 11 and 15, as part of the EU-funded The BRIDGE project, the first of the general cycle of online master classes on building information modeling from our European partners from Poland, Germany, Slovakia and Italy took place. They were conducted by teachers from the Warsaw University of Technology (WUT). The organizer was the Kyiv National University of Civil Engineering and Architecture. The topics of the events were “Selected issues of precast concrete production processes”, “Modern design of structures using specialized software”, “Use of BIM technologies and artificial intelligence tools in the design of monolithic and prefabricated reinforced concrete structures”, “BIM technologies for planning and supervision of construction works”. The speakers were WUT lecturers: Oleksandr Nikal, Bartosz Grzeszykowski, Kostyantyn Protchenko, Jerzy Roslon. They were joined by KNUBA associate professor Oleg Fesenko on the topic “Fire resistance of reinforced concrete structures using building information modeling”. The participants were interested in the capabilities of modern software for building information modeling, and gained new knowledge to develop their practical skills.

We are sincerely grateful to Professor Nabi Ibadov for organizing the event and to all the lecturers of the Warsaw University of Technology who held the master classes for a useful and interesting event, their teaching skills and high level of professionalism. We look forward to the next events, which will be held by lecturers of the Rhine-Westphalian Technical University of Aachen (RWTH Aachen University) at the beginning of the next semester.
