Team from the Institute of Construction and Engineering Systems underwent training in BIM technologies at the University of Sannio (Italy)
From September 2025, the Institute of Construction and Engineering Systems of Lviv Polytechnic will start training second-level (master's) higher education applicants in the educational and professional program "Information Modeling in Construction (BIM Technologies)" specialty G19 "Construction and Civil Engineering".
The structure of the educational and professional program involves mastering a modern methodology for solving problems of an applied and/or innovative nature and solving practical problems in the field of construction and civil engineering and also provides a set of competencies for a holistic representation of a construction object, including design, construction, operation and management throughout the life cycle using BIM technologies. This program was developed within the framework of the international educational project Erasmus K2+ “Bridging the gap between university and industry: an innovative master's degree program supporting the development of green jobs and digital skills in the Ukrainian construction sector” (The Bridge – 101127884-ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE-STRAND-2), headed by Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Zinovy Blikharskyy.
To ensure high-quality training of students, the Institute's teachers traveled to training courses at European partner universities. In particular, in April 2025, the next training took place at the University of Sannio, Benevento, Italy. As part of the educational mobility, practical classes and presentations were held on the topics:
- Digital skills in the construction sector;
- Digital tools for structural projects;
- University-industry cooperation;
- BIM interaction and data exchange;
- Sustainability in construction practices;
- Technical visit to the NZEB building.
